Setup checklist
- Go to developer.squareup.com/apps → your app → OAuth
- Add the redirect URI above to the Redirect URL field
- Ensure SQUARE_APP_ID, SQUARE_APP_SECRET, and SQUARE_ENVIRONMENT secrets are set
- Providers connect via their portal at /portal/provider/accounting
How Square Connect Works
- 1.Provider visits their portal Accounting page and clicks "Connect Square"
- 2.OAuth flow redirects to Square, provider authorizes, token stored in square_access_token
- 3.For out-of-network jobs, provider generates a Square payment link with the 10% platform fee included
- 4.Token expiry is tracked — providers are prompted to reconnect when their token nears expiry
