Why We Started
In 2014, our founder Marcus Webb was hauling freight on I-10 outside of El Paso when his rig threw a rod at 2am. The nearest shop was 40 miles away. The tow cost more than the repair. He sat on the shoulder for six hours waiting for help that was slow, expensive, and completely indifferent to the fact that every hour he sat still was money he wasn't making.
He spent the next year building what he wished had existed that night — a network of vetted, mobile mechanics who could reach any driver, anywhere, and get them back on the road fast. Interstate Mobile Repair launched in 2015 with 12 technicians across three states. Today we operate in all 50 states with over 2,400 providers in our network.
